Vehicle dispatches from Maruti Suzuki facilities increased by 6% in January.

The largest automobile manufacturer in the nation, Maruti Suzuki, shipped 1,99,364 vehicles in January 2024.

On Saturday, Maruti Suzuki India reported that factory dispatches increased 6% year over year to 2,12,251 units in January.

According to a statement from Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), total domestic passenger vehicle sales increased by 4.07 percent to 1,73,599 units last month from 1,66,802 units in the same period last year.

Last month's sales of Alto and S-Presso fell to 14,247 units from 15,849 units in the same month the year before.

The number of dispatches of compact cars, such as the Swift and Baleno, increased from 76,533 in January 2024 to 82,241 last month.

Sales of utility vehicles increased to 65,093 last month from 62,038 during the same period last year.

Compared to 23,921 units a year ago, exports increased to 27,100 units last month.
