Trump's tariff concerns cause the Sensex to plummet 800 points and the Nifty to fall more than 200 points.

The Sensex has plummeted more than 800 points in a single day, and the Nifty has also started to decline.

On Wednesday, the benchmark indexes Sensex and Nifty both dropped by around 1% to reach new lows for the day, marking the start of another decline. For both indices, this is the sixth straight session of fall.

Around 10:05 a.m., the Sensex had dropped more than 860 points to 75,430.23, while the Nifty had dropped almost 260 points to 22,814.50.

Every sectoral indicator was down, with the exception of the Nifty IT index. Nifty Media was down 2.53% and Nifty Realty, which saw a sharp decline even on Tuesday, was down 2.62%. Nifty IT had a slight increase of 0.28%.

The Nifty Smallcap 250 index fell more than 3%, and the Nifty Microcap 250 index fell 2.92%.

On the Sensex, Mahindra & Mahindra, Zomato, Reliance, Adani Ports, and IndusInd Bank were the top losers. The leading losers on the Nifty were Reliance Industries, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Axis Bank, and Bharat Electronics Limited.

While 556 equities on the Sensex had fallen to their 52-week lows, a record 433 Nifty stocks had fallen to their annual lows.

The market fall, which has lasted six sessions and is still going on, has seen the Sensex drop about 3,200 points so far, and the Nifty is on the verge of dropping 1,000 points.
