Following the issuance of an arrest warrant against him by a Ludhiana court in relation to a suspected fraud case, Sonu Sood made an official statement.
After a Ludhiana court issued a non-bailable warrant against him in connection with a fraud case, actor Sonu Sood formally addressed the issue. Sonu claimed to have been called as a "witness" to the incident, in which he had no involvement, on his X account on Friday morning. He further demanded that the issue be handled strictly.Sonu's words
"We need to clarify that the news circulating on social media platforms is highly sensationalized," Sonu wrote on X. To clarify, the Honourable Court called us as witnesses in a case involving a third party that we are not connected to or associated with. Our attorneys have replied, and on February 10, 2025, we will make a statement outlining why we are not involved in the case.
"This is only for needless publicity."
Sonu concluded the statement by saying, "We are not linked in any way, nor are we brand ambassadors. This is merely an attempt to attract unneeded media attention. It's unfortunate that celebrities are now easily targeted. In this case, we shall act strictly."
The Ludhiana court ordered Sonu Sood to be arrested by the officer-in-charge of the Oshiwara Police Station in Andheri West, Mumbai.
