Due mostly to increased expenses, the state-owned hydro power behemoth NHPC reported a 47% drop in consolidated net profit to ₹330.13 crore for the December quarter on Friday.
According to a BSE filing, the company reported a profit of ₹623.28 crore for the previous year.During the quarter, total expenses increased from ₹1,733.01 to ₹2,217.51 crore.
Compared to ₹2,549.69 crore during the same period last year, total income climbed slightly to ₹2,616.89 crore during the quarter.
Additionally, the board authorized the payment of an interim dividend for 2024–2025 at a rate of 14%, or ₹1.40 per equity share, on the face value of paid-up equity shares, which are worth ₹10 apiece.
In order to determine whether stockholders are eligible to receive an interim dividend, the board has set Thursday, February 13, 2025, as the record date.
