A Los Angeles court has found Hollywood producer David Pearce guilty of killing model Christy Giles and her friend Hilda Marcela Cabrales Arzola. A jury found him guilty of all charges, including the rapes of seven women who came forward after Christy and Hilda's bodies were found, according to a Tuesday New York Post story. In 2021, the two women died from a heroin overdose.David Pearce was convicted.
Pearce, 42, was accused of killing Christy, 24, and Hilda, 26. According to the ruling, the Hollywood producer pretended to be a bigshot in the industry, met them at a party, and then enticed them to his apartment. Pearce spiked their drinks there and offered them cocaine mixed with fentanyl. He didn't call for assistance after the two became unconscious.

The 12-member jury was informed by LA prosecutor Catherine Ann Mariano that Pearce met the girls at a warehouse party in 2021 and then brought them back to his apartment with a wingman named Michael Ansbach. After snorting cocaine, Ansbach also passed out but regained consciousness. According to Ansbach's testimony, his companion allegedly told him, "Dead girls don't talk," when he pleaded with Pearce to dial 911.
According to the prosecution, Pearce and his roommate Brandt Osborn loaded the women's bodies into his vehicle and then disposed of them on the side of the road after Ansbackh left.
After the case became well-known in 2021–2022, seven more victims came forward, claiming Pearce had drugged them and then raped them by offering them parts in Hollywood movies. Pearce was described as 'a calculating serial rapist' by the prosecution.
Pearce faces a sentence of 128 years to life in prison without the chance of release. Additionally, Brandt Osborn is being tested as an accessory.
