On January 17, 2025, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- debuted in Japanese theaters. According to Screen Rant, it immediately dominated the domestic box office rankings, debuted at number one, and maintained its top-grossing position for four weeks in a row.
Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- has already made over 2.2 billion yen (about $14 million) at the box office since its January premiere, according to a recent report from the Japanese media site Oricon. The box office performance of the Demon Slayer compilation film may soon be surpassed.
