"The intense rush resulted in a stampede. The pilgrims hurried to buy tokens as soon as the police officers opened the gate. Previously, there was no such system for acquiring tokens. Six of my family's twenty members have been hurt. At eleven o'clock, we joined the line. We were given milk and crackers while we waited in line. However, she was quoted by PTI as stating, "Many male pilgrims hurried for tokens, injuring several women who were subsequently taken to the hospital."
Mallika, whose husband related how his wife was ensnared in the lethal crush during the ceremony, was one of the people who perished in the stampede.
"My wife was killed in a rush that happened as she and other people were attempting to get tickets for Vaikunta Dwara Darshan. Our family have been notified, and they are en route," he stated.
Six individuals were declared dead in the incident by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Thursday, and the officials said they are continuously keeping an eye on the situation.
