Will Donald Trump eliminate income taxes? The US President's remarks regarding tariffs and reforms

In his proposed new economic model, Donald Trump said that the US will no longer tax its citizens in order to enrich other countries.

US President Donald Trump has pledged to restructure the country's tax structure while concentrating on imposing harsh tariffs on countries that he says "harm" the US economy.

In an address to House Republicans on Monday at a retreat in Florida, Donald Trump named China and India as two nations that have high tariffs and promised to take action against those that "harm" the United States.

Highlighting his "America First" economic approach, Donald Trump declared, "We're going to put tariffs on outside countries and outside people that really mean harm to us."

What was said by Trump regarding taxes?
According to Donald Trump, the US would apply taxes on nations that he claimed were profiting at the expense of the American labor, such as China and India. "Observe what other people do. Donald Trump was cited by news agency PTI as saying, "China, India, Brazil, and so many other countries are great tariff makers."

In his proposed new economic model, Donald Trump said that the US will no longer tax its citizens in order to enrich other countries. In order to assist American residents and businesses, he suggested imposing taxes and tariffs on foreign nations.

Trump declared, "Under the America First model, taxes on American workers and businesses will decrease as tariffs on other countries increase."

"If you wish to cease making tax payments..."
According to an Associated Press story, Trump's tax policies primarily benefit corporations and richer Americans, primarily because he intends to extend his 2017 tax cut. One of his main recommendations, which he reiterated Monday in his address to House Republicans, is to lower the corporate income tax rate from 21% to 15%.

Trump also wants to repeal the levies from the Inflation Reduction Act that finance energy projects to combat climate change and undo the income tax increases that Democratic President Joe Biden imposed on the wealthiest Americans.

Despite these adjustments, Trump has also prioritized policies that would help middle-class and working-class Americans, like removing income taxes from overtime, Social Security benefits, and tips received.

Trump also emphasized to lawmakers that American businesses must move their production facilities back to the US in order to avoid tariffs. He urged companies to use what he referred to as a "incentive" to establish manufacturing in the United States, especially in sectors like steel, electronics, and pharmaceuticals.

"You must construct your plant in America if you wish to cease paying taxes or tariffs. At record levels, that's what will occur," he stated.

Trump also announced plans to impose tariffs on copper, aluminum, and steel—three essential minerals utilized by the US military. He bemoaned the decline in the US's capacity to manufacture ships and military hardware and emphasized the significance of returning production there. We used to be able to build a ship every day, but now days we are unable to do so. "Everything is gone to other places," he stated.

The president also reaffirmed his goal of allowing the United States to produce rare earth minerals, which he claimed were being impeded by environmental rules. He indicated his plan to loosen environmental regulations in order to increase domestic production by saying, "We have some of the best rare earth anywhere in the world, but we're not allowed to use it because the environmentalists got there first."
