Saif Ali Khan stabbing: Following the tragedy, Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir had intended to initially visit Howrah, which is close to Kolkata.
Following the alleged stabbing of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, a citizen of Bangladesh, sought to return home, according to NDTV.In the early hours of January 16, Fakir allegedly broke into the residence of actor Saif Ali Khan to rob him and repeatedly stabbed him during a scuffle.
The story claims that Fakir intended to visit Howrah, which is close to Kolkata in West Bengal, following the event. He then intended to travel to Bangladesh in order to permanently elude the authorities.
But when Fakir realized the police were after him, the plan never came to pass. Due to the short notice, travel agents wanted extra money from him when he hurriedly tried to arrange a train ticket to Howrah.
Before the accused could obtain a ticket in accordance with his plan, Mumbai Police nabbed him from Thane.
According to reports, Mumbai Police are pursuing every travel agency Fakir dealt with regarding the ticket. As part of the investigation into the well-known case, the police will be questioning the agents.
The actor was released from Lilavati Hospital after Saif Ali Khan was stabbed.
After receiving treatment at Lilavati Hospital following the stabbing incident, Saif Ali Khan was released on Tuesday.The actor left the hospital for his Bandra home with his wife, star Kareena Kapoor, on his side.
After sustaining many stab wounds during the attack, he had a five-hour operation at the hospital on Thursday. Later that day, he was moved to the intensive care unit. The actor had a bit of the knife removed from his flesh. The actor was lucky to have avoided any serious injuries, according to the medical professionals who were treating him.
In order to prevent infection, the doctors have advised him to take a week off and to avoid having any guests right now. CCTV cameras have been installed, and security measures at his Bandra residence have been strengthened.
