According to the Bollywood Society, Khan previously purchased a bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV for about ₹2 crore, which was shipped straight from Dubai to Mumbai. According to the October report last year, this Nissan Patrol was Khan's second imported bulletproof car from Dubai.

Prior to this, Salman Khan's security was examined and improved, Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar told CNN-News18 in April of last year. According to reports, the officer stated that a member of the security convoy would be carrying two automatic firearms.

According to News 18, safety precautions were also taken outside the Bigg Boss 18 sets in Mumbai, the city known for its film industry.

Why is there an increase in Salman Khan's security?

After a firing incident was reported outside of Salman Khan's home last year, he was promoted. The actor was on the Lawrence Bishnoi gang's "hit list" after they claimed responsibility for the murder of Baba Siddique, an NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister.

The Bishnoi brothers are also wanted in connection with the April 14 morning gunfire incident outside the actor's Galaxy Apartment. On April 14, two men had opened fire while riding a motorcycle passed the celebrity's Galaxy Apartments.

Afterwards, on October 12, Siddique (66) was shot and killed by three gunmen next to his MLA son Zeeshan's Bandra office. So far, 16 persons have been taken into custody by the police.

Members of the Bishnoi gang have been threatening to kill Salman Khan. Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi have been at odds since the Black Buck Hunting Case in 1998. According to news agency PTI on August 30, Lawrence Bishnoi claimed in a 2023 interview with a TV station that Salman Khan had disregarded the Bishnoi people by murdering a blackbuck, which is a holy animal to them.
