Ekta, a top cadet in the NCC's First Jammu and Kashmir Naval Unit, is a BSc student at Gandhi Nagar Government College for Women.
During Sunday's Republic Day parade in New Delhi, the National Cadet Corps ladies' contingent will be led by Ekta Kumari, a Jammu and Kashmir-based NCC cadet, at the Kartavya Path.From Akhnoor in the Jammu area, Ekta is a prominent cadet of the NCC's First Jammu and Kashmir Naval Unit and a BSc student at Gandhi Nagar Government College for Women.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Suneel Bartwal, a spokesman for the defense, Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh are quite proud of this accomplishment.
Ekta's early ambition to serve her country was inspired by her father, a veteran soldier from the 12 Jammu and Kashmir (JAK) Light Infantry.
According to Bartwal, Ekta started her education at Army Public School in Akhnoor, where her strong passion for the military inspired her to enlist in the NCC while still a college student.
He went on to say that from her very first year in the NCC, Ekta showed unflinching drive and excelled in adventure and social service activities.
The finest moment of my life was being appointed Parade Commander of the All India Girls Contingent at Kartavya Path. "My family, my unit, and the entire Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh region deserve this victory," Ekta declared.
She credited her accomplishments to the help of her professors and mentors, who helped her prepare, especially her associate NCC officer (ANO).
She also thanked Drill Ustaad Jaswinder, Lieutenant Colonel Abhijeet, and the Nagrota NCC camp staff for helping her hone her abilities.
"Her remarkable achievement serves as an inspiration for others to follow their dreams with tenacity and hard work, in addition to showcasing the potential of the youth from Jammu and Kashmir," Bartwal said.
July marks the start of the year-long preparations for the Republic Day parade on January 26. On the day of the procession, participants are required to report to the location by 3 am after being formally informed of their participation. They will have practiced for about 600 hours by that point.
