Results for the third quarter of Kotak Mahindra Bank: The private lender's announcement of the third quarter figures on Saturday fell short of market expectations.

Q3 performance for Kotak Mahindra Bank in 2025: On Saturday, Kotak Mahindra Bank, a private lender, released the Q3 2025 results. The private lender reported a quarterly decline in overall income, which was disappointing to the market sentiments. Kotak Mahindra Bank did, however, post an increase in PAT (Profit After Tax) YoY.

In the October to December 2024 quarter, Kotak Mahindra Bank's Profit After Tax (PAT) was ₹4,701.02 crore, up from ₹4,264.78 crore during the same period in the previous fiscal year. However, in the second quarter of the current fiscal year, its PAT was ₹5,044.05 crore. Thus, the private lender recorded a 6.80% QoQ decline in PAt but reported a YoY increase of almost 10.25%.

In the first nine months of the current financial year, Kotak Mahindra Bank's PAT stood at ₹18,213.21 crore, compared to ₹12,876.01 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. Thus, the private lender's PAT has increased by an astounding 41.45% in the first nine months.

From ₹26,880.02 crore in Q2FY25 and ₹24,083.15 crore in Q3FY24, Kotak Mahindra Bank recorded a total income of ₹23,945.79 crore in Q3FY25. As a result, Kotak Mahindra Bank's overall revenue has declined both annually and quarterly.

Kotak Mahindra Bank recorded a total income of 94,273.91 crore for the first nine months of the current fiscal year, which is more than 42% higher than the 66,366.58 crore it reported for the same period last year.

The net interest income of Kotak Mahindra Bank increased from ₹14,494.96 crore in Q3FY24 and ₹16,426.97 crore in the previous quarter to ₹16,633.14 crore from October to December 2024. This indicates that the private lender's NII has increased by about 14.75 percent year over year.
