Less than a week after sustaining knife injuries in a fight with an intruder at his home, Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan made his homecoming from the hospital on Tuesday.
Five days after an intruder attacked him at his home, actor Saif Ali Khan was released from a Mumbai hospital on Tuesday, January 21. When Saif Ali Khan was released from the hospital, he got into a car and drove to his "Satguru Sharan" home in Bandra, Mumbai, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.Dozens of cameras swarmed around Saif Ali Khan's vehicle as he pulled into his house, hoping to catch a sight of the actor. Images that went viral showed Saif Ali Khan giving the thumbs up while surrounded by security and police.
The star even stopped to wave at the swarm of cameras inside his building complex. Reports state that Kareena Kapoor arrived at Lilavati Hospital prior to the actor's release.
The Lilavati Hospital, where he has been confined for the last five days, is not far from his home.
In the early hours of Thursday, January 16, the intruder attempted to break into Saif Ali Khan's residence and stabbed him six times. After being taken to Lilavati Hospital, the actor had an urgent surgery. A 2.5-inch piece of knife was taken out of his spine by the physicians.
A guy believed to be a Bangladeshi national was taken into custody by police on Sunday in relation to the attack, and they are still looking into the incident.

The suspect admitted to the police throughout the investigation that he had stabbed Saif Ali Khan in order to break away from his tight hold. Following the assault, the intruder fled the actor's apartment and spent around two hours hiding in the building's yard.
