Suspect arrested at Durg railway station in Chhattisgarh for stabbing Saif Ali Khan

Early on Thursday morning, a burglar repeatedly assaulted Saif Ali Khan during an attempted heist at his 12-story home in the Bandra neighborhood of Mumbai.

Raipur: According to reports, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has arrested a 31-year-old man at the Durg railway station in Chhattisgarh who is suspected of stabbing Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan.

Early Thursday morning, during an attempted heist at his 12-story home in Mumbai's Bandra neighborhood, Khan, 54, was repeatedly assaulted by an intruder. According to Khan's medical team, the actor is getting better from his wounds.

Aakash Kailash Kannojia, the suspect, was on the Jnaneshwari Express, which runs between Kolkata Shalimar and Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT).

At approximately 12.30 p.m., Mumbai Police informed the RPF that Kannojia, who was allegedly connected to the stabbing, was on the Jnaneshwari Express (Train No. 12101). To help with identification, the Mumbai Police provided a photo and the position of his cell phone tower.

The RPF promptly notified their colleagues at Rajnandgaon station, which is located on the Mumbai-Howrah route prior to Durg, after receiving the tip. But that was not where the suspect was found. After that, two squads were sent to the Durg train station.

The guy was arrested and brought to the RPF Post in Durg after his identity was verified using the Mumbai Police's given photo. After being informed, Mumbai Police are anticipated to fly to Raipur later this evening. They will then proceed to Durg to apprehend the suspect in order to conduct additional investigation.

The accused was riding on the general class bogie, directly behind the train's engine, according to those acquainted with the case.

The situation is still being investigated, and further information is anticipated.
