The moniker "Kamala" was given to Laurene Powell Jobs, 61, before to Maha Kumbh's start. Swami Kailashnand Ji Maharaj informed news agency ANI on January 10 that Laurene Powell had been given the Hindu name Kamala.

On Sunday, Laurene Powell Jobs arrived at the Ashram of Swami Kailashanand Giri Maharaj in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
Swami Kailashanand Giri addressed persistent rumors regarding Laurene Powell Jobs' visit to the temple of Kashi Vishwanath and her "not being allowed to touch the Shivling."
"There is no dispute (regarding her visit to Kashi Vishwanath Temple)," he told ANI, outlining the temple's stringent procedures. I want to be extremely clear about this. It is my responsibility as an Acharya to uphold the conduct and adhere to the customs and core values. Maharishi Vyasananda was also present, and she is my daughter. Our entire family performed 'Abhishek' and worshipped. She received a garland and prasad.
According to Indian custom, only Hindus are permitted to touch the Shivling in Kashi Vishwanath. She was forced to view the Shivling from the outside for this reason. "This tradition will be broken if I do not uphold it," he continued.
2025 Mahakumbh
