Shahid Kapoor says Aditya and Geet from Jab We Met would divorce: "She's her own favorite."

Imtiaz Ali, the director of Jab We Met, asserted that Aditya and Geet would be "at a divorce lawyer's office" today, and Shahid Kapoor concurred.

Even though Imtiaz Ali's 2007 romantic comedy Jab We Met is a cult favorite, neither the director nor the film's star male actor are particularly hopeful about the "happy ending" of the film's main protagonists, Aditya and Geet, who are portrayed by Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, respectively. Shahid concurred with Imtiaz's prediction that Geet and Aditya would be "at a divorce lawyer's office" today in an interview with The Indian Express. The notion that Geet and Aditya are now divorcing because they are angry with one another is actually a pleasant one. "She is her own favorite; who can ever put up with her?" Aditya asked, Shahid said. Last year, Jab We Met had a fantastic re-release, drawing large crowds of fans to see Aditya and Geet's romance play out on the big screen once more.

In light of the popularity, Shahid explained that he is only following Imtiaz's vision and doesn't want to let the audience down. "Who am I to intervene if our filmmaker believes that these two will get divorced? "I am merely an actor," he declared. It's interesting to note that Jab We Met came out at a time when its main characters, Shahid and Kareena, broke up after a few years of dating when Kareena started seeing her now-husband, Saif Ali Khan.

Since their split and participation in Jab We Met, Shahid and Kareena have not collaborated. Although they did not appear on screen together, they were both members of the cast of Abhishek Chaubey's 2016 film Udta Punjab.

They were questioned about their plans for a Jab We Met sequel at the trailer's premiere. Shahid joked that the filmmaker has "moved on," while Kareena stated that Imtiaz should make that decision. To Shahid's delight, Kareena went on to say that a DVD is always accessible for people who missed Jab We Met.

Shahid's next film will be Deva and Vishal Bhardwaj's. Kareena's most recent role was in Singham Again.
