Q3 statistics for Bajaj Housing Finance show a 25% increase in net profit to ₹548 crore and a 26% YoY increase in NII.

As the NBFC lender's net interest revenue increased by about 26% year over year, Bajaj Housing Finance reported a 25% increase in its net profit for the quarter that ended December 31, 2024. Ahead of the results day, shares fell to their lowest level in 52 weeks.

Results for Q3 of Bajaj Housing Finance: On Monday, January 27, Bajaj Housing Finance Ltd. released the results for the October through December quarter. In comparison to ₹436.97 crore in the same quarter last year, the company reported a 25% increase in net profits for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2024–25, coming in at ₹548.02 crore.

Details of the Q3 results
Net interest income (NII) for the October–December quarter of the Non-banking Financial Services (NBFC) company increased 25.8% to ₹2,321.9 crore from ₹1,845.47.

Compared to the same period last year, when the non-banking lender's total expenses were ₹1,374 crore, they climbed 26% to ₹1,736 crore for the quarter that ended December 31, 2024.

Compared to ₹1 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, Bajaj Housing Finance's provisions for bad loans climbed to ₹35 crore. In the third quarter, gross non-performing assets (NPAs) increased to 0.29 percent from 0.25 percent in the same time the previous year.

In the same quarter last year, the NBFC's total assets under management (AUM) increased 26% to ₹1.08 lakh crore from ₹85,929 crore.

The company's debt-to-equity ratio decreased from 5.37 in the same period last year to 4.09 in the October to December quarter. The non-banking lender now depends more on equity financing and less on debt financing as a result of the decline in the debt-equity ratio. For a lender, this is typically viewed as encouraging.

The share price of Bajaj Housing Finance
Following Monday's trading session, Bajaj Housing Finance Ltd.'s shares ended the day 3.02 percent lower at ₹105.85, down from ₹109.15 at the previous market close. On January 27, during stock market business hours, the company released its third-quarter earnings.

On September 18, 2024, shares of the NBFC major reached their 52-week high of ₹188.45, and on January 27, 2025, they reached their 52-week low of ₹104.80.

Shares of Bajaj Housing Finance have dropped 36.12% over the past year, and they are currently down 17.06% year-to-date (YTD) despite a small recovery that saw the company close just above the year's low.
