Prices for the Samsung Galaxy S25 series are leaked before the introduction on January 22.

The most recent leak suggests that the Galaxy S25 series may witness a significant price increase in comparison to the Galaxy S24 lineup from the previous year.

There is a lot of excitement surrounding the release of the Galaxy S25 series, especially since Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event is only a few days away. The most recent Galaxy S25 range, which includes the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, is anticipated to be on display during the event, which is set for January 22. Leaks and rumors have given us a solid sense of what to expect, including the price of the new flagship series in India, even though official details are still being kept under wraps.

According to a recent leak on X (previously Twitter) by Tarun Vats, the Galaxy S25 series may experience a significant price increase over the model from last year.

The base edition of the regular Galaxy S25, which has 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM, is reportedly priced at Rs 84,999. However, the most expensive storage option, which is expected to cost Rs 94,999, would come with 12GB of RAM and 512GB. For comparison, the base model of the Galaxy S24, which came with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage, was reasonably priced at Rs 74,999.

Next up, the Galaxy S25+ is expected to start at Rs 1,04,999 for its base model, which comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This is higher than the beginning price of Rs 99,999 for the Galaxy S24+. According to the leak, purchasers may have to pay Rs 1,14,999 for the larger storage option, which consists of 12GB RAM + 512GB storage.

The leaked cost for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the highest model, may surprise some people. In contrast to the Galaxy S24 Ultra from the previous year, which had a starting price of Rs 1,29,999, the base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage may cost Rs 1,34,999. The top-tier 16GB RAM + 1TB storage model may have an outrageous price tag of Rs 1,64,999, while the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage option is anticipated to cost Rs 1,44,999.

Samsung's alleged price increase may be related to the company's use of the new Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU, which is anticipated to power the Galaxy S25 line. The price increase may be due to the higher production costs of the most recent chip. It remains to be seen if this performance improvement warrants the price hike.

In India, Samsung has already started taking reservations for the Galaxy S25 series. The company's website, Samsung Exclusive Stores, and other online and physical retail locations allow customers to reserve smartphones in advance. It's evident that the Galaxy S25 series has the potential to raise the bar for premium pricing as the launch date draws near. If the features are worth the high price, only time will tell.
