Price, range, and salient characteristics of Hyundai's Creta EV, which was unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025

At Auto Expo 2025, Hyundai debuted the Creta Electric, which costs between ₹18 lakh and ₹19.99 lakh. With two battery options that have ranges of 472 km and 390 km, this reasonably priced electric SUV seeks to increase the popularity of EVs in India.

A major turning point in the South Korean automaker's electric vehicle plan for India was reached when Hyundai formally unveiled the Creta Electric at Auto Expo 2025, according to HT Auto.

Hyundai's first 'cheap' electric SUV, the Creta EV, is priced between ₹18 lakh and ₹19.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom) with the goal of introducing EVs into the mainstream Indian market.

According to the report, Hyundai is counting on this new electric version to further its EV goals, building on the internal combustion Creta's ten-year success.

According to reports, the Creta Electric is the first of several future electric vehicles designed specifically for Indian consumers, joining Hyundai's EV lineup that also includes the high-end Ioniq 5 and Kona Electric.

Performance and choices for batteries
A 51.4 kWh pack with a stated range of 472 km and a 42 kWh pack with a range of 390 km on a single charge are the two battery designs available from Creta Electric. 168 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque are produced with the larger battery version. Eco, Normal, and Sports are the three driving modes available on all variations, allowing for performance customization. The SUV is a strong performer in its class, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.

Qualities
The Creta Electric boasts a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charging pad, ventilated front seats, electronically adjustable front seats, and an eight-speaker Bose sound system, among other high-end features. In addition, it has Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and a curved digital display for infotainment and driver information.

One of the distinctive features is a new steering wheel that was modeled after the Ioniq 5 and has four dots for the letter "H" in Morse code. Its appeal is further increased by useful extras such a 21-liter front trunk, foldout trays behind the front seats, and rear window curtains. An energy-efficient feature is the "Driver Only" AC mode, which only turns on vents for the driver.
