On Sunday, passenger service on the Magenta Line segment is scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
The first portion of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation's (DMRC) Phase 4 was opened on Sunday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the Janakpuri West-Krishna Park Extension section, officials said.This will be the first section of Delhi Metro's Phase-4 to be inaugurated, according to the PMO announcement.
According to Anuj Dayal, main executive director of the DMRC, passenger services on the Magenta Line segment will start at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
"The Delhi Metro network presently has 289 stations totaling 394.448 kilometers in length after the installation of Krishna Park Extension Station. The Botanical Garden-Janakpuri, which is currently open, is expanded by this new area.

- The first segment of Delhi Metro Phase 4, the Janakpuri West-Krishna Park Extension length, was officially opened by PM Modi today.
- On Sunday, passenger service on the Magenta Line segment will start at 3 p.m.
- To facilitate a seamless scaling up, the services between Janakpuri West and Krishna Park Extension would initially operate at a frequency of 16 minutes.
- The Magenta Line will now be roughly 40 kilometers long following the addition of Janakpuri West and Krishna Park Extension.
- By 2026, the remaining Magenta Line extension between Krishna Park Extension and RK Ashram Marg would be finished in stages.
- Delhi Metro purchased a six-coach Metro train for its Phase-4 operations, and it arrived in November of last year.
- According to ANI, 144 more coaches (24 trains) would be added to the Magenta Line's Janakpuri West-R K Ashram Marg stretch.
- The stretch will extend the current Magenta Line from Botanical Garden metro station to Janakpuri West, adding one new station, Krishna Park Extension.
- Additionally, as part of Phase 4, PM Modi will lay the cornerstone for the 26.5-kilometer Rithala-Narela-Kundli (Sonipat) Metro link.
