Mrunal will play Adivi Sesh's opposite in Shaneil Deo's upcoming action drama Dacoit. Supriya Yarlagadda and Suniel Narang are the film's producers, and Annapurna Studios is its distributor. It is now being shot in Hyderabad in both Telugu and Hindi at the same time.

The creators of Dacoit claim that it tells the tale of an enraged prisoner who wants to exact revenge on his former girlfriend for betraying him. "He devises a dangerous plan to trap her, setting the stage for an intense action drama driven by elemental forces - love, betrayal, and revenge," according to the script.
