Saif Ali Khan stabbing case: On January 16, a break-in occurred at Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan's Bandra home. According to forensic examination, the fingerprints of Shariful Fakir, 30, who was detained for the crime, matched those found at several points within the actor's house.
The suspect threw away a white bag near Bandra Talao that the police found with many gadgets and a broken piece of knife.
According to the Times of India, prints were discovered on a bathroom door, a duct pipe, and the door doorknob of Saif's younger son Jehangir's bedroom.
Bandra police recorded the actor's statement on Thursday, during which he detailed the violent altercation with the intruder in his Satguru Sharan apartment on the eleventh floor.
According to the article, Khan stated in his statement, "I overpowered the stranger and he repeatedly stabbed me on my back with a knife, causing my grip to loosen."
In his statement, Saif described the terror his family and employees felt when they saw the armed invader and how he hurried to defend his son and the employees.
He added that staff nurse Eliyamma Phillip, who was in the room with his younger son Jehangir, was the first to spot the intruder.
Saif claimed that after hearing Phillip scream and Jehangir sob, he and Kareena left the bedroom. He witnessed an outsider assaulting Phillip. Thus, he sprang at him and seized him. A police officer was quoted by TOI as adding, "The stranger stabbed him to escape."
Phillip told Saif that the intruder had demanded ₹1 crore once he returned from the hospital.
Police further stated that Saif was driven to the hospital by his sons, Ibrahim and Taimur, after the assault.
On Wednesday, the police finished reconstructing the crime scene after finding a white bag close to Bandra Talao.
Shariful told the police during the crime scene reconstruction how he broke through a rat mesh to get to the fourth level, climbed a ladder to get to the duct, and scaled a 4-foot wall to enter the building.
After climbing the stairs to the tenth story, he climbed through the duct to Khan's apartment's eleventh-floor bathroom. He escaped via the same way.
