T20I captain Suryakumar, who has demonstrated that he is an automatic starter with his incredible form in recent games, has provided some respite for Samson.
Once again, Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav has shown total confidence in Sanju Samson, stating that the selection of the wicketkeeper for the Twenty20 International team is unquestionable. Samson has recently been embroiled in a dispute with the Kerala Cricket Association and was kept out of India's Champions Trophy squad. After missing a three-day training camp before the event, Samson was not chosen to play for Kerala in the most recent Vijay Hazare Trophy. The veteran wicketkeeper batsman was recently criticized by KCA president Jayesh George, who said he cannot "show up for Kerala whenever he wants like
T20I captain Suryakumar, who has demonstrated that he is an automatic starter with his incredible form in recent games, has provided Samson with some respite.
"The wicketkeeper has no question marks on him. Over the past seven or eight games, Sanju has performed admirably. "He has demonstrated his abilities," Suryakumar said.
Sanju seized the chance when Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from T20Is. He displayed his class by hitting a century against Bangladesh on home soil while playing as an opener in the shortest format. The wicketkeeper batsman then made history by becoming the first batter to score three hundred runs in Twenty20 Internationals in a single year. But when it comes to ODIs, it appears that the selectors don't trust him as much.

"Sanju Samson has taken full advantage of the opportunity."
The skipper emphasized that one of the main reasons for India's success has been Samson's ability to seize opportunities."We want all of the players to do that. He has the chance, and he has taken full advantage of it. I'm so glad for him," he continued.
Samson scored 436 runs at an average of 43.60 in 13 Twenty20 Internationals last year, including three hundreds and a fifty, with a strike rate of over 180. He had a peak score of 111.The other wicketkeeper selected in India's squad for the five-match series against England is Dhruv Jurel, Sanju's IPL teammate, but it is very possible that he would be benched for the duration of the series.
