Four of the ten most valuable companies had their MCAPs decline by ₹96,605.66 cr; HDFC Bank was particularly heavily hit.
Four of the ten most valued firms saw their combined market capitalization drop by ₹96,605.66 crore last week, with HDFC Bank suffering the biggest loss.Among the leading companies, the market capitalization of Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, ITC, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), and Hindustan Unilever increased by ₹82,861.16 crore, while the valuations of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and State Bank of India decreased.
The market value of HDFC Bank fell to ₹13,37,919.84 crore, a decrease of ₹37,025.46 crore. The value of ICICI Bank dropped by ₹29,324.55 crore, to ₹8,93,378.50 crore. State Bank of India's market value dropped to ₹7,08,168.60 crore after losing ₹5,399.39 crore, and TCS's market value dropped by ₹24,856.26 crore to ₹14,83,144.53 crore.
Reliance Industries, on the other hand, continued to be the most valuable firm, with its market valuation rising by ₹41,138.41 crore to ₹16,93,373.48 crore. While LIC added ₹13,282.49 crore to reach ₹5,74,689.29 crore, Hindustan Unilever's valuation rose by ₹15,331.08 crore to ₹5,65,194.18 crore. Infosys's valuation increased to ₹8,04,834.34 crore after gaining ₹9,031.19 crore.
Bharti Airtel's valuation increased to ₹9,10,934.58 crore after adding ₹199.36 crore, and ITC's market capitalization increased by ₹3,878.63 crore to ₹6,03,064.44 crore.
In the same time frame, the Nifty increased by 191.35 points (0.80%) and the BSE benchmark index increased 524.04 points (0.66%). The most valuable company was still Reliance Industries, which was followed by Hindustan Unilever, TCS, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, State Bank of India, ITC, and LIC.
