Elections in Delhi in 2025: Today, Amit Shah will introduce the third section of the BJP's manifesto. What can we anticipate?

Delhi Election 2025: Amit Shah is scheduled to present the last section of the BJP's expansive manifesto as Delhi prepares for the 2025 elections. The BJP is hoping to regain power in Delhi after 27 years with plans for ambitious infrastructure and pledges of financial relief for women.

Elections in Delhi in 2025: Ahead of the Delhi assembly elections next month, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will introduce the third and final section of the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) manifesto on January 25. Two sections of the saffron party's manifesto have already been made public.

Shah will speak at two public rallies in the nation's capital today as well. On February 5, the 70-member Delhi legislature will be elected. The Delhi Assembly Elections' outcomes will be declared on February 8.

The manifesto, which is scheduled to be unveiled at 2:00 PM today, is anticipated to include pledges for improved road infrastructure, the building of a dam to alleviate the water shortage, and free bus transportation for everyone from October to February in order to reduce vehicle pollution. If elected to power in the nation's capital, the saffron party is also anticipated to devise a plan to improve the drainage system, supply clean water around-the-clock, and clean the Yamuna River, among other things.

It will include the BJP's promise to build roads in extremely poor states that the AAP government has ignored despite the party's ten-year rule. The final section of the BJP manifesto would concentrate on a vision to make Delhi a world-class city, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, the BJP's South Delhi MP and convenor of the manifesto committee, told the Indian Express. "The roads will be developed like the ones constructed by NHAI."

Delhi Election 2025: The BJP Manifesto Was Previously Released in Two Parts
The BJP pledged to give ₹15,000 in aid to students preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and other exams in the second section of its platform for the Delhi Elections 2025, which was made public on January 21 by party MP Anurag Thakur.

The saffron party pledged to give ₹2,500 a month to Delhi women through the Mahila Samridhi Scheme in the first section of its platform, which was made public earlier this month by JP Nadda, the party's national president. In addition to offering pregnant women ₹21,000 if the party is elected to power in the nation's capital, they also pledged a ₹500 discount on LPG cylinders and one free cylinder each during Holi and Diwali.

27 years out of power
In Delhi, the BJP has not held sway for 27 years. In 2015 and 2020, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, emerged victorious in assembly elections. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2013, the Congress had power.

The BJP lost the last two elections.
