Shah Rukh Khan's counsel on unwavering dedication for success has come up again as the discussion about a 90-hour workweek rages on. He emphasized that in order to succeed, one must forgo comfort and leisure.
Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's "don't sleep, don't eat" adage has reappeared on social media amid the country's dispute over the 90-hour workweek. King Khan stated in a 2022 interview that one must be restless in order to succeed; calmness is only beneficial if one does not wish to succeed.Shah Rukh's counsel, however, might not have meant exactly what Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Chairman SN Subrahmanyan stated. SRK's statement suggested that perseverance and commitment were critical to success.
"If you want to succeed, don't eat, don't sleep, don't rest, don't relax," SRK states in the video.
According to the Bollywood Badshah, in order to succeed, one must "be tensed, under pressure" and forgo a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle.
"Aaram haram hai," he said, "you cannot be peaceful and restful if you want to be successful."
Shah Rukh added that one cannot become what they wish to be if they are unable to make sacrifices.
"I am quite lazy; I enjoy reading books, playing video games, and hanging out with my kids.I'd like to unwind. As an example, he stated, "But I only get four or five hours of sleep, go to work in the morning, and work out to get the six-pack body."
"Success will not wait, but pain will go," he declared.
Shah Rukh Khan responded to individuals who claim that "life is beyond work" by saying that it's okay to not desire to succeed.
As the show host concluded the discussion with the quotation from APJ Abdul Kalam, "Dream is not that which you see while sleeping; it is something that does not let you sleep," he added, "Success does not come until you are completely restless."
