The fund house's trust in Axis Bank's growth prospects is demonstrated by HDFC Mutual Fund's decision to boost its holding in the bank by 5 basis points, from 4.97 percent to 5.02 percent.

According to a statement released by the fund house on Wednesday, January 8, "At the end of business hours on January 6, 2025, the total assets held by HDFC Mutual Fund in Axis Bank amounted to 5.02 percent of the company's paid-up share capital."

Prior to the purchase, HDFC Mutual Fund owned 15,38,45,705 shares, or 4.97 percent of Axis Bank. Following the purchase, HDFC Mutual Fund now owns 15,53,35,021 shares, or 5.02% of the company.

By the end of the September quarter of the current fiscal year, HDFC owned 13,06,05,045 shares, or 4.42 percent of Axis Bank, through its various mutual fund schemes, according to shareholding pattern data on the BSE.
