Actor Allu Arjun met Sri Teja, the young victim of the horrific Sandhya Theatre event, at the KIMS Hospital in Begumpet, Hyderabad, on Tuesday. In order to ensure public order in and around the hospital, the SHO of the Ramgopalpet Police Station had sent Arjun a notice about his planned hospital visit and advised him to keep it private. Police would make the required preparations for his visit, according to the SHO.

Following a complaint from the relatives of the deceased woman, the charges were brought under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). In relation to the matter, he was taken into custody on December 13. On December 14, however, the Telangana High Court granted him temporary release. On January 3, a city court granted him regular bail. The performer is included as accused No 11 in the case.
