After being stabbed during a heist in his Mumbai apartment, actor Saif Ali Khan had surgery. More than 30 police teams are looking into the matter, but no one has been arrested. Discussions concerning Mumbai's state of law and order have also been triggered by the occurrence.
In the midst of the uproar after the recent attack on Saif Ali Khan, actor Sonu Sood maintained on Friday that Mumbai was still a "safe place." After being repeatedly stabbed during a late-night robbery attempt, the actor had surgery on Thursday. At around 2:30 am, his sons Taimur and Ibrahim were driving Khan to Lilavati Hospital in an autorickshaw when the tragedy occurred in his 12-story residence in the Bandra area.Although he is doing well at the moment, I believe it was a regrettable situation. Even though Mumbai is a fairly safe location, these kinds of attacks make us constantly alert.that the security personnel in the buildings need to pay closer attention and that we should be even more watchful," he said.
The assailant is still being sought, and no arrests have been made in the case thus far. Around 2:30 am, CCTV footage captured a man, thought to be in his 30s, running down his apartment's stairs. The unnamed man glanced up at the camera for a moment while holding a bag and wearing a red scarf. The attacker is presently being sought by around 30 Mumbai Police squads.
A political verbal duel has also been triggered by the tragedy, with opposition leaders arguing that the BJP-led Mahayuti administration has made the city of dreams "unsafe." However, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis maintained that a few isolated occurrences could not be used to evaluate the city's law and order.
"There is no question that Mumbai is the safest location. It would be incorrect to conclude that Mumbai is unsafe based only on one or two incidences. He was reported in publications as stating, "At the same time, it is also correct that if any such incident happens, we should take it seriously and act accordingly and keep Mumbai safe."
