A Chinese man aims to rebuild Kasukabe Town and spends ₹3.5 crore building a true Shin-Chan home.

Shin-chan's famous home was recreated by a Chinese man for ₹3.5 crore, turning it into a well-liked location for photography.

You can't possibly be an anime fan and not be familiar with Shin-Chan. Since its premiere, the kid-friendly comedy series has garnered a sizable global fan base, and any true fan will recall Shinnosuke Nohara's famous house with its recognizable red and white bricks. A 21-year-old Chinese man has boldly demonstrated his loyalty by rebuilding that exact house and spent an incredible $400,000 (about ₹3.5 crores) to live in it.

Shen's dedication to the dream of Shin-Chan
Shen, a devoted follower of Shin-Chan, fulfilled his desire by assuming control of his family's sheep farm and starting this unique endeavor. He worked on the project for more than a year, going to considerable measures to obtain the property's official rights. Shen found Crayon Shin-chan's exclusive license agent in China and made at least five trips to Shanghai to seal the deal, according to Record China.

The process of constructing the famous home
Shen sourced custom-made materials for the project, which increased its already high cost, and construction started in July 2024. Shen was able to realize the dream thanks to his mother's financial support. The almost finished home is about 100 square meters in size and is expected to draw cosplayers and admirers from all over the world as a popular picture destination.

Expansion plans for the Shin-Chan universe
Shen has more goals than just the house. His long-term goals include turning the anime's Futaba Kindergarten into an educational facility. Shen eventually hopes to construct the whole Kasukabe Town from Shin-Chan, establishing a completely immersive environment where fans can immerse themselves in the Shin-chan universe like never before.

Yoshito Usui's creation, crayon Shin-chan, began as a comic in 1990 and immediately gained popularity among fans because to its distinct sense of humor and likable characters. Under the name Yoshito Usui & UY Studio, Usui's team made sure the legacy persisted even after his tragic death in 2009. Thirty-two years later, the anime series continues to enthrall audiences worldwide.
