This month, Samsung is finally releasing the One UI 7 beta upgrade for its high-end phones in a few countries.
This week, the One UI 7 beta version of Samsung's postponed Android 15 rollout will be made accessible in a few locations, including India. The initial beta version was released in December, which makes sense given that the firm appears to have scheduled the official release to coincide with the introduction of the upcoming Galaxy S flagship series. Starting on December 5, Samsung will be releasing the One UI 7 upgrade in Germany, Poland, Korea, the US, and India, among other countries.
Samsung has announced that starting in the first quarter of 2025, its next Galaxy S series devices will receive the official One UI 7 update with cutting-edge AI features. If you own one of the following Samsung models, you can participate in the One UI 7 beta program:
The Samsung Galaxy S24
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
Although it isn't stated in the text, we don't currently see the FE version receiving it either. The company does guarantee that additional Galaxy smartphones will eventually receive the update, though.
The One UI 7 appears to be receiving a significant UI makeover in addition to the new AI tools. Samsung asserts that the Android 15 version is also strengthening the devices' security features. Knox Matrix, Theft Protection, Auto Blocker, and other enhanced tools are included. Additionally, Samsung phones will be able to block 2G networks, which Google appears to have included in the latest version.
Many have complained about Samsung's delay in releasing the Android 15 upgrade, but if the company can actually demonstrate some encouraging changes, customers may be willing to wait.Samsung's announcement of an update for the current version is amusing, but Google has already advanced its plans for Android 16, which will be released ahead of schedule.
