There is only one Indian nominee for ICC Men's T20I Cricketer of the Year, and it isn't Jaspreet Bumrah.

With crucial performances in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup qualifiers, Sikandar Raza, who was nominated for the third year in a row, spearheaded Zimbabwe's cricketing triumphs.

Only one Indian made the ICC's four-nominee shortlist for the Men's T20I Cricketer of the Year Award, which was just announced. The ICC Men's T20I Cricketer of the Year nominee is Arshdeep Singh, who was instrumental in India's triumph at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. According to the ICC, Travis Head of Australia, Babar Azam of Pakistan, and Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe are also on the list.

What you need to know about the nominees is as follows:
Singh Arshdeep: India's main pacer in the T20I format is now Arshdeep Singh, while Jasprit Bumrah has committed to Tests and ODIs. Just after Bhuvneshwar Kumar's 37 wickets in 2022, Arshdeep's outstanding 36-wicket record in Men's T20Is makes him the second-highest wicket-taker for India in a calendar year. However, compared to Kumar's 32 games, Arshdeep's stats come from just 18.

He finished third with 33 scalps in 2022. With outstanding performances, the seamer has taken over the much-needed position of a left-arm pacer for Team India in the shortest format.

The Men's T20 World Cup final was one of Arshdeep's standout performances. India's victory would not have been possible without Arshdeep's outstanding assistance, even if Bumrah is frequently remembered for his game-changing over.

Sikandar Raza: The all-round player has made it to the esteemed shortlist for the third year in a row, demonstrating his continued excellence for Zimbabwe. Since becoming captain, Raza has played a key role in Zimbabwe's cricketing triumphs, particularly in the sub-regional Africa Qualifier Group B of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, where he amassed 199 runs and claimed 10 wickets. Although Zimbabwe's Twenty20 International team is still developing, Raza's team has defeated teams this year, including Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. His most notable performance came against India.

Despite having a poor season, batsman Babar Azam continued to lead Pakistan in T20I runs scored. Babar, who was Pakistan's backbone with six fifties and nearly 100 boundaries, had a notable improvement in his strike rate, reaching 133.21 runs per 100 deliveries. Babar is only eight runs away from surpassing Rohit Sharma's record of 4231 runs, which he holds as the top run scorer in T20I cricket. During Pakistan's pre-T20 World Cup visit of Ireland, a standout performance was given.

Travis Head: In 2024, the Australian batsman shown his versatility by amassing 539 runs at a strike rate of 178.47 in T20I cricket. As an opener against New Zealand, he made an impression with powerful cameos, and he continued to play well into the 2024 T20 World Cup. Head scored 255 runs at a strike rate of 158.38, ranking third in the tournament. Although he played a key role in many of Australia's victories, his performance against England in Southampton was his most notable. Head opened with Matthew Short and hammered 12 boundaries, including four sixes, to reach 59 from 23 balls at the end of the Powerplay.
