They went to the village early in the morning to drink fresh toddy after leaving their houses late at night.
Vamsi (23), Dignesh (21), Harsha (21), Balu (19), and Vinay (21), as well as Manikanth (21) as the injured party, were identified as the accident victims. According to police remarks cited by India Today, all were Hyderabad residents.
After completing the necessary legal procedures, the deceased's bodies will be given to their families. The cause of the collision is still being investigated, a police officer stated.
The tragedy happened in Telangana's Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district when a fast car lost control, swerved off the road, and fell into a lake, according to local reports quoted by India Today.
A Telangana Police team responded to the spot after learning of the occurrence, took the injured person to a nearby hospital, and retrieved the deceased's remains, which were then sent for postmortem testing.
Police and residents collaborated to pull the car out of the lake, according to a video taken on the scene.
A senior police official who was commenting on the occurrence said that a case had been filed and that the bodies will be turned over to the families after the legal proceedings were finished.
