The Allu Arjun film has made almost Rs. 316 crore in the twin states, placing it between two SS Rajamouli productions, ahead of Baahubali 2 and below RRR.
The second-highest-grossing movie in the history of the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is Pushpa 2. In the twin states, the Allu Arjun film has made about Rs. 316 crore, placing it between two SS Rajamouli productions, ahead of Baahubali 2 and below RRR. The movie still has a lot of energy left, and it will get closer to the Rs. 350 crore milestone over the next New Year's holidays. The movie did exceptionally well in the Ceded areas, where it became the second movie to ever earn over Rs. 50 crore. It will get within ten percent of the record gross by the end of its run. After RRR and Kalki 2898 AD, the movie is presently the third highest grossing one in Nizam. It has a good chance of defeating the latter and approaching RRR.
It is also the third highest-grossing film in Coastal Andhra, trailing only RRR and Baahubali 2. While the remainder of the region would be about 20% higher, the two Godavari districts, which will be collecting on par with Kalki, have underperformed. In these two districts, comparable results would have meant an extra Rs. 6-7 crore gross.
Despite these huge hits, there is a completely false narrative that the movie hasn't done well in the Telugu states. This story is the result of the outdated practice of evaluating everything based only on distributors' recovery and ignoring the real box office performance, which is determined by gross figures. If the prices involved are reasonable, which is rarely the case, distributor recovery might be a desirable course of action. The films are sold at arbitrarily high prices, so even when they do well or very well, they are viewed as a failure. In the same way, Pushpa 2, which was offered at All-Time Blockbuster pricing, will be about 10% less than those in Coastal Andhra. larger deficit of 25% in the districts of Godavari. Despite Ceded's exceptional business, Nizam will barely break even, and earnings will only be around 20%.
During the first week of its release, there was a real problem with the movie's occupancies and daily trend on the second day. However, a significant portion of the crowd was priced out by the outrageously expensive ticket costs. The problem was resolved, pricing quickly returned to normal, and the movie handled them effectively. Pushpa 2 will have sold over 1.60 crore tickets in Telugu states by the end of its run, which is 30–35% more than the next best and second only to RRR in recent years.
