NDA Leader Ramdas Athawale urges Shinde to accept the position of deputy chief minister, saying that "Fadnavis Will Be CM."

Updates on the New CM of Maharashtra: The BJP has scheduled its Legislature Party conference for November 4, which should put an end to the tense situation surrounding the next chief minister.

Updates on the New CM of Maharashtra: Ramdas Athawale, the leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), asserted on Tuesday that Devendra Fadnavis will take over as Maharashtra's chief minister amid the mounting tensions surrounding the appointment. He also urged Eknath Shinde to accept the position of deputy chief minister.

According to sources, Fadnavis will be elected as the party's leader, opening the door for him to take over as chief minister, and the BJP has scheduled its Legislature Party meeting for November 4.

The leader of the Republican Party of India (Athawle), said to CNN-News18, "He (Devendra Fadnavis) totally deserves it (the CM post) because of his experience and performance in the past."

He went on to say that the NDA's candidate for deputy chief minister, Eknath Shinde, is "upset" about the choice. "I invite him (Eknath Shinde) to take the job," Athawale said.

Tomorrow, Mahayuti will select the CM.
Two central observers, former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, have been nominated by the party to preside over tomorrow's BJP legislative party meeting.

"This evening, we are traveling to Mumbai. Also on the way is Nirmala Sitharaman. The Legislative Party of the BJP will meet tomorrow at 11 a.m.," Rupani stated.

He also suggested that, given the BJP's larger number than its allies the NCP and Shiv Sena, the elected leader might be given consideration for the position of chief minister after the conference.

The name of the elected Legislative Party Leader will be communicated to the High Command. After then, an announcement will be made.

Rupani went on to say that the BJP high command had conferred with all three allies over the formation of the Maharashtra government and reaffirmed that the NCP and Shiv Sena will be kept in the dark about any decision.

The Main Requests of Eknath Shinde
According to sources, the delay in the formation of the government has made the Home Ministry the primary cause of contention between the Mahayuti parties, particularly the BJP and Shiv Sena.

The Home Ministry, PWD, and Revenue portfolios are among the important ministries in the Maharashtra cabinet, and Eknath Shinde has reportedly stated that he is unwilling to accept the position of Deputy CM.

According to earlier reports, Shinde pushed his son, Shrikant Shinde, for the position since he didn't want to accept the position of Deputy CM. His son stressed, however, that the rumors are unfounded.

According to party sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top NDA officials will attend the oath-taking ceremony for the new Mahayuti government on December 5 evening at Azad Maidan in South Mumbai.
