A ceremony with stars
More than 42,000 people attended the swearing-in ceremony, including well-known visitors like Madhuri Dixit, Shah Rukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, and Kumar Mangalam Birla. PM Modi was joined at Mumbai's Azad Maidan by a number of Union ministers, chief ministers, and deputy chief ministers from different states.

In his third term, Fadnavis
From 2014 until 2019, Fadnavis, a two-time chief minister, led the BJP-Shiv Sena government. With Ajit Pawar as his deputy, Fadnavis was sworn in once more following the 2019 elections, when the Shiv Sena, led by Uddhav Thackeray, severed its ties with the BJP over the position of chief minister. However, because Pawar was unable to get enough backing from NCP MLAs, this administration was only in place for 72 hours. After the Shiv Sena split, Fadnavis were appointed deputy chief minister in Shinde's Mahayuti cabinet.
