Mr. Fadnavis was sworn in as the Chief Minister for a third time after being unanimously elected as the leader of the Maharashtra BJP Legislature Party.

The event is scheduled for today at 5:30 p.m. at Azad Maidan in south Mumbai. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a number of Union Ministers, and chief ministers from states with BJP-led National Democratic Alliance governments will be present.

Congress MP Pramod Tiwari: "Mahayuti is not forming a government in the interest of the people."

Congress MP Pramod Tiwari stated Thursday that the Mahayuti alliance is not building a government in the people's best interests, ahead of the swearing-in ceremony for Maharashtra Chief Minister nominee Devendra Fadnavis.

When the results were announced on November 23rd, they had a sizable majority. However, there was some serious internal strife, which took 11 days to resolve before Devendra Fadnavis' name was announced. "They (Mahayuti) are not forming govt in the interest of people," Tiwari told ANI in the nation's capital, adding that if this is how it is starting, it would finish similarly.

The individual responsible for the increase is Devendra Fadnavis.

On the floor of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in 2019, Devendra Fadnavis of the BJP cited this couplet after the party was unable to form a government in Maharashtra due to a disagreement with Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray.

At the time, the BJP was the only major party. The BJP spent two and a half years in opposition following unsuccessful attempts to create a government. In order to form the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, Uddhav Thackeray teamed up with Sharad Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Congress. He accused Mr. Fadnavis and Amit Shah of betraying him and breaking their promises. In Maharashtra politics, the animosity between Mr. Fadnavis and Uddhav still exists today.
