According to an Indian American business owner, MAGA fans have threatened her personally during the H1-B visa controversy. This episode occurs at the same time that Donald Trump supports the H1-B visa program for skilled workers and Elon Musk criticizes it.
In the midst of the ongoing discussion over H1-B visas in the United States after Donald Trump's election victory and his Make America Great Again (MAGA) campaign, an Indian American businessman asserted that his personal number was exposed in a post by MAGA supporters before it was removed. On social media, Sidharth, the X user, is very outspoken about his support for legal immigration. Additionally, he urged the MAGA accounts to halt "this onslaught" and claimed to be receiving "personal threats."

Sidharth wrote in a since-deleted post on X, "I am receiving personal threats after my personal phone number was leaked. I'm pleading with big MAGA accounts to halt the barrage of bots attacking me!
He went on, "You are attempting to hurt my family, and I have a young family."
Elon Musk, the tech entrepreneur, was accused by MAGA influencers of suppressing opposing opinions on X after at least 14 accounts lost their blue verification badges, a premium feature that allows for monetization, late Thursday and Friday.
MAGA influencer Laura Loomer is one of the detractors, claiming she has been prohibited from buying X premium. Additionally, she said that following an online altercation with Musk, almost 75% of responses to her articles were flagged as spam.
"Selective cancellations are like a fire alarm that only goes off when someone they hate lights a candle, but stays silent while their friends are setting the whole building on fire and roasting marshmallows," posted Sidharth on Twitter during this controversy.
