The information pertaining to his anticipatory bail appeal has been explained by veteran actor Mohan Babu. He affirmed that his anticipatory bail had not been denied, unlike what certain media sites have reported. For clarification, he turned to X.“False propaganda is being circulated!” he wrote. I am currently receiving medical attention at home, and my anticipatory bail has not been denied. I ask that the media accurately report the facts.
This declaration comes after rumors circulated that his bail request in connection with an alleged attack on a journalist had been denied by the Telangana High Court. Mohan Babu's social media post provides a clear explanation of his current circumstances and legal position.
Mohan Babu, meantime, has expressed regret to the reporter he allegedly attacked outside his Hyderabad home earlier this week. In a statement posted on his X (previously Twitter) account, he claimed that when the "media got inadvertently intertwined," he was merely attempting to defend himself against "anti-social elements." Mohan Babu apologized to the journalist and described the episode as "unfortunate."
"I wanted to let you know that I was unable to react right away because I was admitted to the hospital for health issues for the past 48 hours. "Thank you for your patience, and I am sending this letter as soon as I can," he wrote.
When my fence was smashed in the heat of the moment, about 30 to 50 people who were antisocial elements violently entered my home with the intention of hurting everyone within. I became agitated. The media unintentionally became involved in the incident amid the pandemonium. Unfortunately, one of your journalists, Mr. Ranjit, was hurt while I was attempting to handle the situation. This was a very sad result, and I really apologize for the suffering and inconvenience this has given him," the actor said.
This occurred one day after the 35-year-old journalist submitted a police complaint, which resulted to the actor being charged under Section 118 (1) of the BNS (willfully causing harm with dangerous weapons or substances).
