The demonstrators called for the woman's family to receive Rs 1 crore in financial support.
The Chief Minister gave the city police commissioner and the state director general of police strict instructions to uphold law and order. They posted a placard stating that while people who watch films are dying, the film industry makes lakhs of rupees.
