Today's earthquake in Telangana: According to the National Center for Seismology, a 5.3-magnitude earthquake rocked Telangana's Mulugu region on Wednesday morning, causing vibrations to be felt in Hyderabad. At 7:27 a.m., the earthquake struck, sending inhabitants into a panic.There were no immediate reports of significant damage or casualties. While experts encourage locals to remain vigilant and steer clear of crowded or dangerous structures during earthquakes, authorities are evaluating the situation.
The National Center for Seismology wrote on X, "EQ of M: 5.3, On: 04/12/2024 07:27:02 IST, Lat: 18.44 N, Long: 80.24 E, Depth: 40 Km, Location: Mulugu, Telangana."
The earthquake is an unusual occurrence in Telangana because the state rarely experiences seismic activity.
"One of the strongest earthquakes occurred in Telangana for the first time in the last 20 years, with a 5.3 magnitude earthquake at Mulugu as epicentre," stated Telangana Weatherman, an X user.
The user further mentioned that the earthquakes were felt throughout Hyderabad and all of Telangana.
