Highlights of India against. Australia, Second Test: IND folds for 180; AUS reaches 86/1, 94-run deficit

Highlights of India vs. Australia, Second Test: On Day 1, AUS reached 86/1 at Stumps after IND reached 180 in the first innings.

Highlights of India vs. Australia, 2nd Test: On Friday, Day 1 of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy's second Test in Perth, Australia defeated India by scoring 86/1 in 33 overs at Stumps. With Nathan McSweeney (38*) and Marnus Labuschagne (20*) still undefeated, the hosts are behind by 94 runs. Usman Khawaja was dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah for 13 from 35 balls to start the Australian innings.

Earlier, in the pink-ball Test match against Australia at the Adelaide Oval, Nitish Kumar Reddy blasted as many runs out of the tail as he could, leading India to a total of 180 runs while batting first. He became the sixth man to be dismissed by Mitchell Starc that day after falling on 42 off 54 balls. Starc continued his dominant run in pink-ball Tests at home, finishing with career-best figures of 6/48.

In the second session, India was down to their final two wickets for 141 runs. India surpassed the 170-run mark thanks to Reddy's surge. Earlier in the second session, captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed by Scott Bolland, ending his brief comeback to the middle order. Then, Australia's captain Pat Cummins unexpectedly found his magic again and brought out Rishabh Pant. This brought in Ravichandran Ashwin, who became Starc's fifth victim of the day after hitting 22 fast runs.

At the Adelaide Oval, Starc was the talk of the opening pink-ball Test match between Australia and India. With captain Rohit Sharma batting one off ten deliveries and Rishabh Pant hitting four off six, India was at 82/4 at dinnertime. By dismissing the dangerous Yashasvi Jaiswal for a golden duck off the opening ball of the match, Starc shocked India early. After that, Starc returned towards the close of the first session and ended the 69-run partnership with Shubman Gill by removing KL Rahul for 37 off 64 balls. Australia ended the first session ahead of India after India abruptly lost two more wickets. Kohli was in Starc's next over and then Shubman Gill fell to Scott Boland after scoring 31 in 51 balls.

After Starc surprised them early, Gill and Rahul appeared to have gotten India off to a smooth start. Earlier in the game, Rahul had a good deal of luck. When Scott Boland bowled the first ball, he nicked behind to the wicketkeeper, but the umpire saved him by declaring it a no ball. Later, on the fifth ball of the same over, Rahul was dropped. After the drinks break, he switched strategies and scored goals with Gill with ease until he collapsed in the middle of the session.

In the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, India's captain Rohit Sharma declared that the visitors would bat first after winning the toss earlier. India has decided to reinstate Ravichandran Ashwin and fire Washington Sundar. In addition, Dhruv Jurel and Devudutt Padikkal are set to be absent as Rohit and Shubman Gill make their comebacks.

Australia vs. India Live Score: Stumps
Australia versus India Real-time score: Play for three more minutes. In what will likely be the last over, Ashwin will bowl. The over starts with a dot, and Ashwin is aware that the pace will shift if he takes a wicket. Dot, McSweeney also defends the second ball. Pant catches the following delivery as it passes the batter. Near! Then McSweeney defends it once more. This over has two balls left. The wicketkeeper misses the dot ball after turning once more. No bat is involved as it turns again.

Another over-given. Bumrah will do the work in the last over of the day. He begins by bagging two dots. Then Labuschagne defends it once more. With three balls remaining, Kohli is as excited as ever. The slower fourth ball passes the batter and off the cutter for a dot ball. The sixth ball is then spat out for a single over Bumrah. McSweeney will take on the day's last ball. He pokes a dot at it.
