Finally discussing his role as Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor claims to have completed filming Part 1.

Ranbir Kapoor referred to the tale of Lord Ram and Raavan as “India's greatest story.” He expressed that it is a “very satisfying opportunity” for him.  

For the first time, actor Ranbir Kapoor has commented on his role as Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. In an interview with Deadline, Ranbir mentioned that he has completed filming part one of the movie and will "begin shooting part two soon." He remarked that it is a "very fulfilling opportunity for me as an actor."  

Ranbir discussed being part of Ramayana.  

Ranbir stated, “I am currently involved in a film titled Ramayana, which is India's greatest story. It is produced by Namit Malhotra...It features artists, creators, and crew members from around the globe. The story is divided into two parts and revolves around Lord Ram and Raavan, India's greatest tale. Presenting it to this new generation with today's technology makes it an incredibly exciting and rewarding opportunity for me as an actor, particularly to portray the character of Lord Ram.”  

Finally discussing his role as Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor claims to have completed filming Part 1.

Ranbir provided insights about Ramayana.  

During his speech at the festival, he added, “It is directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The film consists of two parts. I have completed filming Part 1 and will start on Part 2 shortly. Being part of this narrative makes me feel so honored to portray Ram. It’s a dream come true for me. This film encompasses everything. It embodies the essence of Indian culture—family relationships and the dynamics between husband and wife. So I'm really thrilled about that.”  

Details about Ramayana.  

The eagerly awaited epic, Ramayana, was announced by Namit Malhotra a month ago. Namit also disclosed that the movie will be released in two segments. Ramayana Part One is set to debut in theaters in 2026, while Part Two will arrive in 2027. Namit revealed the poster, which features an arrow against a blazing sky.  

According to reports, Sai Pallavi will portray Sita in Ramayana. Yash has confirmed his role as Ravana in the film. Lara Dutta will play Kaikeyi, Sunny Deol will take on the role of Hanuman, and Sheeba Chaddha will be featured as Manthara. Earlier this year, a leaked image from the film's set, showcasing Ranbir and Sai in costumes, went viral on social media.
