"Everyone wants this to end," Zelenskyy said. Thank You, Trump and Macron, for "Productive" Ukraine War Discussions

According to Zelenskyy, the three parties "agreed to continue working together and keep in contact."

After attending trilateral discussions with French President Emmanuel Macron and US President-elect Donald Trump on Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksyy pledged to put an end to the current conflict with Russia soon "in a just way."

Nearly three years after Moscow's invasion and before Trump takes office in the US in January, Zelenskyy claimed to have held a "good and productive" discussion with both leaders at the Elysee Palace in Paris.

The three had "agreed to continue working together and keep in contact," according to Zelenskyy.

"At the Élysée Palace, I had a positive and fruitful trilateral meeting with Presidents @realDonaldTrump and @EmmanuelMacron. All of us desire a speedy and equitable conclusion to this conflict. We discussed a just peace, our people, and the situation on the ground. We decided to stay in touch and carry on working together. In a post on X, he asserted that "peace through strength is possible."

"President Trump is, as always, resolute," he said, thanking Macron for setting up the meeting. I'm grateful to him. Additionally, I want to thank Emmanuel for setting up this crucial meeting," he stated.

According to the French president, Macron held trilateral meetings with Trump and Zelenskyy in Paris today.

Following the meeting, Macron stated, "Let us continue our joint efforts for peace and security."

Five years after the Notre-Dame Cathedral was destroyed by fire, Trump traveled to Paris to attend its opening ceremony. He met with Macron in the Elysee Palace, and Zelenskyy showed up right away to join them.

Zelenskyy's first in-person encounter with the tycoon-turned-politician since his election triumph took place shortly before the three men left for Notre Dame for the reopening ceremony of the famous Paris cathedral.

Trump was greeted by Macron earlier, and the two men repeatedly shook hands and embraced on the steps of the French presidential house, with Trump receiving a full guard of honour.
