Increase in ticket prices
The record-breaking ticket price increase may share some of the credit for it. Allu Arjun referred to the Andhra Pradesh government's approval of the movie ticket price increase as a "progressive decision" and congratulated them for it.

On Monday night, Arjun posted about the same thing on his X handle. "I want to express my sincere gratitude to the Andhra Pradesh government for approving the ticket increase. This forward-thinking choice shows your unwavering dedication to the development and success of the Telugu cinema industry," the post stated.

The 42-year-old actor hailed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. He will reprise his role as laborer-turned-sandalwood smuggler Pushpa Raj in the follow-up to 2021's Telugu smash Pushpa: The Rise. This is in response to the fact that his film "Pushpa 2: The Rule," which is scheduled for release in theaters on December 5, now has the highest ticket pricing for a Telugu film.

Tickets for Pushpa 2's December 4 launch are available at select theaters for ₹944 (GST included).

Six screenings of the movie are scheduled for December 5, the day of its premiere, per a memo released by the Andhra Pradesh government. Additionally, it said that the "lower class" movie ticket prices will increase by ₹100 (including GST), the "higher class" ticket prices by ₹150 (including GST), and the multiplexes ticket prices by ₹200 (including GST) over the current rates. From December 6 to December 17, audiences can purchase tickets for five performances at the same price.

The movie's ticket prices at the various chain theaters around the nation range from ₹200 to ₹2,500, according to Gautam Dutta, CEO, Revenue & Operations, PVR INOX, who spoke to PTI.
