Amit Malviya criticizes the Telangana government

The Congress-led Telangana administration, according to BJP leader Amit Malviya, is targeting Tollywood because of the superstars' opposition to the Chief Minister's alleged attempts to enforce authority and "extract money."

"Under the Congress government led by Revanth Reddy, something troubling is happening in Telangana," Malviya claimed in a post on X. Tollywood, one of India's biggest and liveliest film industries, seems to be the focus of the administration since Telugu celebrities and producers have allegedly refused to cooperate with the Chief Minister's attempts to regulate and coerce them into giving up money.

"The controversy started with the demolition of superstar Nagarjuna's convention center in Hyderabad," he asserted. A current female cabinet minister then personally attacked Samantha Prabhu, Nagarjuna's now-estranged daughter-in-law and a well-known actress in her own right. The harassment campaign also targeted renowned actor Mohan Babu, who allegedly had his son used to settle political grudges.
Allu Arjun, another well-known Tollywood personality, has most recently been targeted.
