On December 4, a sizable audience had flocked to the movie theater to see the actor. The scenario descended into chaos amid a crowd that was far larger than the theater could hold, and Revathi, a 35-year-old woman, died as a result of asphyxiation. Sri Teja, her nine-year-old son, was hurt at the same moment. The Super Speciality Hospital is where Teja is receiving treatment.

Allu Arjun went to the Telangana High Court in an attempt to have the family of the deceased drop the FIR against him. Hyderabad police filed a complaint at the Chikkadpally police station against the actor, his security detail, and the theater's management under sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Police claim that neither the actor's entourage nor the theater management informed the authorities of the actor and his cast's presence. "We are following the procedure," Hyderabad Additional Commissioner of Police (law and order) Vikram Singh Mann stated following Allu Arjun's detention, according to PTI.

Three other people, including M Sandeep, one of the owners of Sandhya Theatre, were previously taken into custody by the police in this investigation. Gandhakam Vijay Chander, the lower balcony in-charge, and senior manager M Nagaraju were also taken into custody.

The principal actor from Pushpa 2 was then placed under 14 days of judicial custody by a Hyderabad court, and the Telangana High Court granted him temporary bail in the matter.
