Mushtaq Khan will soon speak to the media and share his experience after escaping the terrifying circumstance.
Mumbai: After being abducted off the Delhi-Meerut highway and subjected to torture for 12 hours, actor Mushtaq Khan, who starred in Stree 2, Welcome, and numerous other movies, had a terrifying ordeal. The situation started when Mushtaq arrived at the Delhi airport after being invited to an event with verified airline tickets and an advance payment. After arriving, he was driven to an unidentified location close to Bijnor in a car.Mushtaq's business colleague Shivam told India Today Digital that the kidnappers took more than Rs 2 lakh from Mushtaq and his son's accounts and demanded a ransom of Rs 1 cr. While he was in captivity,
Mushtaq allegedly suffered from physical and psychological torment.
Early in the morning, Mushtaq became aware that a mosque was close by when he heard the Azaan. Taking advantage of the situation, he fled the scene, asked for assistance from nearby residents, and called the police to get home.
Later, Shivam went to Bijnor to lodge a formal complaint on Mushtaq's behalf. He affirmed that they have important evidence, such as CCTV footage taken close to the airport, flight tickets, and bank transaction information. Additionally, Mushtaq recalls important information about the home and neighborhood where he was detained, which could aid the police in identifying the criminals.
Shivam emphasized that Sunil Pal, another well-known comic, reportedly went through a similar experience, therefore this wasn't an isolated incidence."That public individuals are being singled out in this way is frightening. Shivam told India Today Digital, "We hope this increases awareness and prompts better security measures for everyone."
Mushtaq Khan is anticipated to speak to the media shortly after reportedly recuperating from the horrific event.
