Rakesh Roshan remembered that every day when Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan were working on the movie, he would wake them up at six o'clock.
This month, Karan Arjun, the classic movie from the 1990s, will be re-released in theaters. The popular drama, which was one of the highest-grossing movies of 1995, is still adored by the general public for its portrayal of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan's bromance. In a recent interview with a media portal, the film's director, Rakesh Roshan, disclosed that the mature, cool-headed, and collected superstars were "young" and "mischievous" during the film's production. The director took a journey down memory lane to explain the Khans' morning routine and his experience working with them.Rakesh Roshan smiled broadly as he reflected on Karan Arjun's filming days in an interview with Pinkvilla. He recalled Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan's morning ritual while working on the film, saying, "Young the Mastikhor the. Subah che baje jaakar uthana, mera kaam yeh hota tha ki."
"Shahrukh utho, aare sir thodi der aur sone do, Salman ke paas jao toh Salman mujhe dekh ke hi muh pher leta tha, takiya sar pe rakh le ta tha sir aap wapas kyu aa gaye, sir mein aa jaunga 9 baje tak," Rakesh Roshan added. Shah Rukh would respond, "Sir, let me sleep a little more," when I would tell him to get up. Salman would cover his head with his hands and turn his face away when I approached him, asking, "Sir, why have you returned?" By nine, I'll be awake.
Rakesh Roshan, not one to be fooled by their pranks, would insist that they wake up in front of him since he thought the two might fall back asleep after he left. But that's not all. Until they had a shower and got there on time, the filmmaker would stay with them. Roshan, who was well aware of their fun character, acknowledged that he was precisely like them when he was younger, highlighting how everyone evolves with experience.
In addition to Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, Karan Arjun stars Kajol, Amish Puri, Rakhi, and Mamta Kulkarni in key parts. The movie will return to theaters on November 22 in advance of its 30th anniversary.
