"The Polio Technical Committee for Gaza has decided to resume the campaign despite the lack of access to all eligible children in northern Gaza," a UNICEF and WHO joint statement stated.
Due to the lack of access and guaranteed, thorough humanitarian pauses, heavy bombing, and mass evacuation orders, the third phase of the polio vaccination campaign was postponed from October 23, 2024, and is now scheduled to start today (November 2, 2024) in parts of the northern Gaza Strip.
